Legendre to start £70m Mayfair office revamp

Main construction work will start on site next month at 50 Stratton Street with completion expected in mid-2028.

Designed by architects Stiff + Trevillion, the 135,000 sq ft cheme will include generous 12,000 sq ft floor plates, high-end finishes and a range of communal and private terraces.

The all-electric building will be delivered with a zero embodied carbon approach, using lightweight steel and introducing four new cross-laminated timber floors to support exemplary standards of sustainable construction.

The works will also include the delivery of new facades, comprising stone cladding, aluminium-framed windows and curtain walling to enhance the building’s appearance and performance.

Thomas Vandecasteele, Managing Director of Legendre UK, said: “This appointment marks a key milestone for Legendre UK, reflecting the strength of our continued growth in London as we deliver a premium office building in Mayfair, one of the capital’s most prestigious commercial locations.

“As occupiers place increasing emphasis on future-proofed, energy-efficient and sustainable workplaces, 50 Stratton Street demonstrates how central London offices can be redeveloped to meet evolving expectations.

“Its ambitious sustainability credentials and innovative construction methods will draw on Legendre UK’s proven track record in delivering technically complex, sustainable buildings.”
