The City of Raleigh is seeking artists to design and paint artwork for a network of e-scooter and e-bike corrals through downtown Raleigh. Seven artists will be selected to each create between 9 and 11 corral artworks along an assigned corridor. Project budgets will range from $16,000 to $24,000 per artist, depending on the size and number of corrals they are assigned and the City will provide fast-drying waterborne epoxy-modified acrylic coating for the projects.

Red Hat Amphitheater Performing Arts Parking Deck Public Art

The City of Raleigh seeks to hire an artist or artist team to create new public art as part of the Red Hat Amphitheater (RHA) relocation project. The selected artist/team will create an installation for the Performing Arts Parking Deck, an existing structure facing the new amphitheater location. Public art can be facade treatments with durable materials or a hybrid approach of murals and durable mixed media. This project has a total budget up to $700,000. Final budget is dependent on approved design and cost estimates.

Raleigh Convention Center Expansion – Facade Activation

The City of Raleigh seeks to hire an artist or artist team to create an iconic public artwork for the facade of the expanded Raleigh Convention Center. The public art should be highly visible from the exterior and could include outdoor facade treatments, integration into the glass windows, or interior suspended sculptures. The artist/team will be working closely with the design team, and on a tight design timeline, to integrate the artwork into the building. This project has a total budget up to $1,600,000. Final budget is dependent on approved designs and cost estimates.

Raleigh Convention Center Expansion – Interactive Plaza Artwork

The City of Raleigh is looking for an artist or artist team to create permanent, outdoor, interactive artwork(s) as part of the expansion of the Raleigh Convention Center. Artists should consider how to create durable experiences that encourage playful interaction, support moments of engagement for both local residents and new visitors to the City, and enhance a high traffic area. This could happen through innovative use of color, light, or materials or through thoughtful integration of amenities into artwork infrastructure. This project has a total budget up to $500,000. Final budget is dependent on approved designs and cost estimates.
