Westborough, MA – October 2025 – Sika Emseal, a proud Massachusetts manufacturer of pre-compressed sealants and expansion joint systems, has been named a 2025 Manufacturer of the Year by the Massachusetts Legislative Manufacturing Caucus.
The award was presented by Representative Kate Donaghue (D-Westborough) and Representative Hannah Kane (R-Shrewsbury) at the 10th Annual Manufacturing Awards Ceremony, held at the Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. The event was hosted by Senator Paul R. Feeney (D-Foxborough) and Representative Jeffrey N. Roy (D-Franklin), Co-Chairs of the Massachusetts Manufacturing Caucus.
Each year, the Manufacturing Awards honor manufacturers across the Commonwealth who exemplify innovation, quality, and community engagement, and who truly embody what it means to “make it in Massachusetts.” Manufacturers were recognized for their contributions to the state’s economy and workforce.
“This recognition honors not just our products but our people,” said Lester Hensley, President and CEO of Sika Emseal. “For 35 years, our team has been committed to building resilient, high-performance materials right here in Westborough, Massachusetts, and to supporting our community in meaningful ways.”

“Massachusetts manufacturers are central to our economic strength, our competitiveness, and our identity as a state that builds what’s next,” said Senator Paul R. Feeney, Senate Chair of the Legislature’s Manufacturing Caucus. “The companies recognized today demonstrate the strength of Team Massachusetts and how investments in innovation, skilled workers, and strong regional partnerships continue to drive growth in every corner of the Commonwealth.”
The award ceremony was part of the Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-Up, a major annual event organized by the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) in collaboration with the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, MassMEP, and regional partners such as the 495/MetroWest Partnership, represented by Jason Palitsch. The Mash-Up celebrates the diversity, creativity, and collaboration that define advanced manufacturing in Massachusetts.
