Ridgeline Construction Roofing and Exteriors announced that Josh Taber, general manager of its Spanish Fort, Ala., and Pensacola, Fla., offices, has been recognized on the 2025 Alabama Associated General Contractors (AGC) 40 Under 40 list.
At just 28, Taber was honored for his rapid career ascent and pivotal role in fueling Ridgeline’s Gulf Coast expansion, doubling both revenue and headcount across his territories.
Taber’s recognition highlights a remarkable career ascent within Ridgeline. He began his career a decade ago as a field technician in Athens, Ala., learning the business from the ground up. His hands-on experience and proven leadership capabilities led to a series of promotions, culminating in his current management role overseeing complex commercial and residential projects across the Gulf Coast, leading both the Spanish Fort office and Pensacola office. This trajectory from the field to the front office has shaped his leadership style, which is rooted in meticulous planning, operational excellence, and a deep respect for the craft professionals on his teams.
“Starting in the field teaches you that success is about solving problems on the ground, not just in the office,” Taber said. “This recognition is a direct reflection of our entire Gulf Coast team, who are empowered to be proactive problem-solvers and take full ownership of their work. I am incredibly humbled by this honor from the Alabama AGC and proud to be part of a company that invests in its people to get the job done right with integrity and skill.”
Under Taber’s leadership, the Spanish Fort and Pensacola offices have not only achieved significant financial growth but have also expanded into new commercial markets. His success in building key client relationships was instrumental in securing major projects for national brands like Wawa, cementing Ridgeline’s reputation as a premier contractor in the region.
“Josh truly embodies our core value to ‘Be Irreplaceable,'” said Lauren Marsh, CEO of Ridgeline Construction, a certified woman-owned business. “He brings solutions, creates value, and consistently over-delivers for our clients and our community. He’s a leader who makes his entire team better, and this recognition is a well-deserved acknowledgment of the standard of excellence he displays.”
The Alabama AGC 40 Under 40 program celebrates the state’s top rising stars who demonstrate an incredibly high level of leadership, professional excellence, and commitment to the commercial construction industry. Taber joins an elite group of honorees from Alabama’s leading firms, including Brasfield & Gorrie, BL Harbert International, and Turner Construction Company.
