engcon is expanding its global tiltrotator offerings with the addition of an installation on Caterpillar next-generation wheeled excavators.
In addition to previous models, the Caterpillar M314 – M322 next-gen wheeled excavator models now support rapid installation of engcon tiltrotators. This inclusion is made possible by engcon’s DC3 control system combined with Cat’s Software Enabled Attachment (SEA) technology. DC3 is the next-generation control system for engcon tiltrotators, built on a completely new hardware and software platform. It simplifies installation with machine manufacturer interfaces compared to traditional aftermarket solutions.
“With increased demand for our products on a global scale, we see it as crucial to make our tiltrotator more accessible and easier to get in the hands of the customer. It is equally as important to make sure that the customer can get the full value out of what both tiltrotator and machine has to offer, this will definitely easy the entrance into the tiltrotators in all markets”, says Sam Ryan, global OEM manager, engcon.
This introduction reflects a wider industry trend; OEMs are increasingly enabling easier availability of advanced attachments. Solutions like this play a critical role in increasing market penetration and unlocking new levels of machine utilization and efficiency. The ability to utilize all included functionalities makes digging much more efficient and saves time for the excavator operator.
