HD100 Board: The Insulation and Filler Board You’ve Been Looking For

In expansion joint construction, the gap between structural sections needs a compressible filler before the surface joint cover is installed. The filler must be compressible (to allow movement), non-absorptive (to prevent water retention), and stable (to support the joint cover during installation).

HD100 Board Properties:

• High-density extruded polystyrene — 100 kg/m³
• Compressive strength: 300 kPa — supports construction loads
• Water absorption: <0.3% by volume — virtually waterproof
• Thermal conductivity: 0.033 W/mK — excellent insulator
• Available in 25mm and 50mm thickness, 600×1200mm boards

HD100 Board is also used as thermal break insulation in podium decks, cold rooms, and HVAC duct surrounds.
