DSeal EPDM Seals: The Heart of Every Watertight Expansion Joint

You can have the strongest aluminium frame in the world — but if the seal fails, water gets through. The EPDM seal is the critical waterproofing element in every DSeal joint system.

What is EPDM?

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer — a synthetic rubber with exceptional weathering, UV, ozone, and temperature resistance. It is the standard material in premium automotive seals, roofing membranes, and industrial gaskets worldwide.

DSeal EPDM Seal Properties:

  • Temperature range: -40°C to +120°C
  • Shore A hardness: 60–80 (matched to movement requirements)
  • Tensile strength: >10 MPa
  • Elongation at break: >300%
  • UV and ozone resistance: Class A
  • Water absorption: <2%

DSeal EPDM seals are manufactured to consistent quality standards and are available as replaceable inserts, extending the life of the joint cover system without full replacement.
