The Patto Bridge leading into Panaji city will remain closed from February 20 to 22, 2026, for repair work on damaged expansion joints, the District Magistrate of North Goa announced. During the three-day closure, traffic diversion plans will be in effect. Two-way movement will be allowed on the New Patto Bridge (Riverside) during morning hours, while reverse flow arrangements on the Old Patto Bridge will help vehicles enter the city. Motorists leaving Panaji from the Church Square–Cortin stretch will be diverted via the New Mala Bridge. Authorities have urged drivers to follow signage and cooperate with officials to ensure smooth traffic flow during the repair period.
