Highways England has started to look for contractors to join its £434m construction framework for its two most northerly regions.
The frameworks will cover strategic roads for Highways England’s Area 13, which covers the Cumbria and Lancashire region, and Area 14 which covers the North-east of England and North Yorkshire.
It will last for four years with more than 11 lots up for grabs covering general civil engineering, structural concrete and temporary traffic management.
Highways England is looking for a total of 33 contractors to cover the lots with values ranging from £1m to £17.5m a year.

Lot 1: Areas 13 and 14 Corrosion Protection – £1m a year
Lot 2: Areas 13 and 14 Structural Concrete Repairs – £3.75m
Lot 3: Areas 13 and 14 Structures Waterproofing and Expansion Joints – £2.5m
Lot 4A: Area 13 Road Lighting and Electrical – £2.5m
Lot 4B: Area 14 Road Lighting and Electrical – £2.5m
Lot 5A: Area 13 General Civil Engineering – £15m
Lot 5B: Area 14 General Civil Engineering – £17.5m
Lot 6: Areas 13 and 14 Technology – £3.75m
