ASPHALTOPLAST

An APP type modified bituminous membrane

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

ASPHALTOPLAST is the standard roofing and waterproofing membrane, reinforced either with a core of non-woven polyester of 180g/m2 nominal weight (referred to as P) or a 50g/m2 fiberglass fleece (referred to as F). It is the recommended roofing membrane but can be useful for another variety of applications among them; large slabs, terraces, bathrooms, wet areas, foundations, basements, tanking and others.

Variants of the membrane come with other polyester reinforcement of 200g/m² to 250g/m2.

PLASTOMEX

An APP type modified bituminous membrane

DESCRIPTION

PLASTOMEX is a general-purpose roofing and waterproofing membrane, reinforced either with a core of non woven polyester of 140g/m2 nominal weight (referred to as P) or a 50g/m² fiberglass fleece (referred to as F). It is suitable for a variety of applications among them; roofs, terraces, bathrooms, wet areas, foundations, basements, tanking and others.

ALYAF A201 is a nonwoven geotextile made from staple fibers, mechanically bonded by a needle punching process to produce a dimensionally stable network. AQUABRUSH is a complete easy to use cementitious waterproofing system. It consists of two-component packages, factory blended under strict quality control for optimum results in the field. A is specifically designed to waterproof and protect concrete and masonry surfaces. It is ideal for above and below ground structures, interior and exterior AQ is used extensively in below-grade areas subjected to water pressures in tanks, underground, utility structures, concrete and masonry foundations, elevator pits, cisterns, and all types of liquid containing facilities.

MONNELI MANTOBRUSH

Two-Component Elastomeric Cementitious Waterproofing Coating

DESCRIPTION

MANTOBRUSH is a two-component, cementitious acrylic modified waterproofing coating. It is composed of special types of types of cement, silica sand, reactive fillers (powder), and acrylic polymer blended with chemical additives (liquid). Once mixed, it produces a workable, easy to apply product that can be applied with a brush or spatula.

MANTOBRUSH provides a seamless, hard wearing, flexible waterproofing membrane with excellent
adhesion to the surface.

• To protect exposed reinforced concrete structures from acid rains and chloride iron attacks
• Waterproofing for water tanks, reservoirs, roofs, marine structures

AQUAPRIM EMULSION – MWDATASHEET

DESCRIPTION

Brush applicable bitumen emulsion. Thick liquid formed of water emulsified bitumen blend suitable to be used as a protective coating for concrete, masonry and as primer for Bituminous membranes.

YIELD

The recommended rate of application is 2.5m per liter depending on site condition.

HEALTH & SAFETY

As with all Bitumen products caution should always be exercised.
Protective clothing such as gloves and goggles should be worn. Treat any splashes to the skin or eyes immediately with fresh water. Should any of the products be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomiting call for medical assistance immediately. Ensure that the container is available for medical attendants to examine any relevant instructions and content details.

CLEANING

The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly of all contaminants like dust, traces of curing compound, oil
and grease. All surface imperfections. protrusions, structurally unsound and friable concrete must be
removed.

MONNELI ASFABIT

Cold Applied Bitumen Emulsion

This preparation shall be such as to leave a sound exposed concrete surface free from dust, loose

DESCRIPTION

ASFABIT is a cold applied water based bitumen with special additives. It is a blend of selected bitumen
emulsified with water to give an easily applied protective coating. Once cured, ASFABIT forms a seamless film with great adhesion to the substrate.

USES

• General waterproofing and protective coating for concrete, screeds, masonry, metal surfaces, pipes and many other surfaces
• As vapor/salt barrier and damp proofing behind granite, marble, curtain walls, etc.
• Sealer for concrete before applying the top finishing coats.
• As a curing membrane for concrete below ground
• Protective coating to concrete slabs above false ceiling, bulkheads, etc.

APPLICATION

For waterproofing underground structures, the bituminous emulsion shall be applied by brush or squeegee at a maximum rate of 200 microns per coat. The two coats must be applied at right angles to one another with a minimum of 6-hour intervals between each application at 25°C. Each coat must be completely dry before the next coat is applied.

AQUATEX 2000

DESCRIPTION

Anionic latex modified bitumen emulsion; Latex Rubber content of dry film 15% minimum. It is dark brown in color, the product also contains a quantity of bio-acid to inhibit the growth of bacteria and mould both in the product itself and subsequent to application. These properties impart excellent durability and waterproofing characteristics

USES

Used for waterproofing in wet areas (bathrooms and kitchens) and as a damp proofing membrane in sandwich construction as a general-purpose waterproofer for walls, floors, other structures, and as a vapor seal as well. It’s also an effective adhesive and bonding agent for insulation boards, cork panels
etc. It’s practically suitable where some movements of structure are expected, exhibits much better permeability and elasticity characteristics than similar material without latex.

APPLICATION

The surface to be treated should be cleaned, remove dust. grease etc., should be applied by brush, roller or by spraying equipment for large surfaces on concrete or other absorbent surfaces first apply a coat of AQUATEX 2000.

MONNELI ASFABIT RB

Flexible, Rubberized Bitumen Emulsion

DESCRIPTION

ASFABIT RB is a cold applied rubberized bitumen emulsion in dark brown color that, when dries, it
forms tough black seamless and flexible coating.

This preparation shall be such as to leave a sound exposed concrete surface free from dust, loose particles and any deleterious matter. If the concrete surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to a sound base.

MONNELI ELASTOSEAL PU25

Single Component Polyurethane Joint Sealant

DESCRIPTION

KRETESIL CR provides total and permanent waterproofing solution to water leakage, ingress or seepage in concrete structures or any cementitious substrates due its unique, surface-applied penetrative capillary waterproofing system.

MONNELI KRETESIL NT

Elastomeric Cementitious Waterproofing Mortar

DESCRIPTION

KRETESIL NT is a two component acrylic modified cementitious waterproofing mortar composed of  high quality cement, silica sand, special hydrophobic agents in powder form (component A) and specially formulated copolymer acrylic agent in liquid form (component B). It can be applied on concrete, bricks, cement plasters, etc.

USES

KRETESIL NT is primarily used for waterproofing surface treatments of concrete or masonry water tanks designed to contain drinking water. It is nontoxic and easy to apply, with excellent bonding to concrete and masonry.

Static cracks that are greater than 0.3mm shall be repaired by chiseling the crack into a V-shape, to a depth and width of 25mm and priming it with Primer A18 followed by the application of COLMEF’s cementitious repair material.

KRETESIL NT can also be used for the following:

SBR Bonding Agent for Cement Mortar & Concrete

DESCRIPTION

SBR LATEX RIPRESA is a styrene butadiene polymer latex with high bonding characteristics. It is stable under wet alkaline conditions forming a reinforcing polymer matrix within cementitious mixes including concrete, screed and mortar. It is mixed with cement mixture to give higher adhesion power to all surfaces, extra bonding strength, excellent plasticity, higher impermeability and flexure resistance, higher abrasion and acid resistance and can be considered as a waterproof admixture when mixed with cement.
